Dental Cleanings
Deep dental cleanings done at Klaich Animal Hospital require general anesthesia in order to appropriately clean the teeth above and below the gumline, and to make the procedure as pain-free as possible for your pet. Once your pet is asleep, the teeth will be cleaned by one of our experienced and licensed technicians with equipment that is similar to that used by your dentist. Dental radiographs may be taken to evaluate for problems that cannot be seen above the gum line. This will determine if any teeth are infected or require extraction. Please call our office to schedule an oral exam prior to scheduling your pet's dental cleaning if your pet has not been seen within the past 3 months.
