Dr. Augusta Catterson
Dr. Catterson was raised in the Reno, NV area and showed a strong love for animals at a young age. She was very involved in many 4-H and FFA projects during her youth. After graduating from Reno High School, she received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Oregon State University and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. For several years, she worked in a mixed animal practice before moving back to Reno to join Klaich Animal Hospital in 2009. Dr. Catterson has a special interest in surgery, in addition to internal medicine and diagnostics. She recently received extended training in orthopedic surgery.
During her free time, she enjoys spending the day with her husband, Alan, and German Shepherd, Rocco, hiking, fishing, and going for walks. Dr. Catterson also enjoys relaxing with her cat, Margaret, and spending time with her saltwater aquarium. She also attempts crafts like sewing and quilting projects.
